We receive correspondence from journalists and editors enquiring about motorcycle accidents. Motorcycle Internet are not qualified to comment on the road traffic accident situation within the United Kingdom, we suggest that interested people can study the statistics published at UK Online. Two particularly informative documents which may be of statistical interest are : DETR Motorcycle Road Accidents 1998 and DETR: The Casualty Report 1999. The general summary of these reports appears to be that the rate of motorcycle accidents in relation to the number of road miles covered continues to decline.
